Our Policies
We started out as a regular old (ok, we've never been real mainstream) neighborhood store. But with the web, everybody's neighborhood got a whole lot bigger. What we are trying to do is treat you just like we would treat someone who is standing in our store. We don't offer bulk discounts, or free shipping, but we try to get your order processed and on its way so you get it just as soon as possible. You might just be surprised about how quickly that box of goodies is sitting on your doorstep.

This is the shipping chart for standard shipping. If you have special shipping requirements, let us know (we can do next day, second day etc.... it'll just cost ya'). If you don't live in the United States, we can figure out the most economical way to get the stuff to you.

If you are in San Francisco, you can come to our store and not pay shipping. But if you live somewhere else we can ship you merchandise to you.
Depending on the weight of the package, we either ship by UPS Ground of Priority Mail through the USPS. We ship by the Post Office if you live in Alaska, Hawaii. We have no problem shipping internationally and normally use the US Post Office for those orders.
Alaska-- your shipping charges are typically going to be about 1 1/2 times the estimation. So if the estimation is $8.50, your shipping will probably be $12.75. It all depends on weight though, so sometimes it will be what the estimated shipping says. If it is going to be more, we will email you.
Outside of the US (ie the rest of the world)--Until we get the package put together, we don't really know the cost. We will email you with shipping prices for airmail, which normally takes 4-10 working days to arrive. We will not ship your order until we have the ok from you for the additional charges.
We try to ship orders out in a timely fashion. Normally your order will leave our store within 2 business from when we receive it. If there is going to be a delay, we will contact you by email or phone.
We ship from San Francisco, California (zip code 94117). If you are on the east coast, transit time is about 7 working days. To get the specifics from your zip code, you can go to UPS.com and click on "transit time" towards the top.
We are not making money on the shipping. You are paying for the shipping, the packaging material, and the time it takes to pack your order.
We can ship things next day or 2nd day air if you need it yesterday. The shipping will be more than estimated on your order confirmation. When you are placing your order, there is a place on the form for comments-- you can put your request there.

We also accept paypal, or you can send us a certified check or money order. Check with us ahead of time by email so that we can give you a total including shipping.
We want you to be happy with your merchandise. If it isn't what you wanted, you can send it back to us and we will credit you for the merchandise. (You are responsible for shipping both ways) Sorry, no returns on cut fabric.
We are human, and sometimes we make mistakes. If it is our error, we will try to get you a replacement as quick as we can and we will pay the shipping. If you have questions or concerns, just email us and we can figure out a solution.
